Kateryna Felistovych: born in 1999 in Lutsk, an emerging Ukrainian modern art hotspot. Teaches children in Lutsk arts school and paints at her private studio for her clients from across the world. Her work is very successful commercially and is sold out in a matter of days.

“When people see some sort of cheesy love in my work, I’m not really happy about it. If I paint the embrace - it’s going to be the last one ever, these characters will separate next moment to never see each other again. I see it all a little otherwise, more tragedy. Body language, facial expressions, looks, emotions are the main things I’m keen to narrate in my paintings. I live through them. So much of my work is dynamic and restless. I’m physically unable to be calm when painting - my hand just flies over the canvas, something is falling and banging all the time. I’m quite aggressive in the process,” explains the artist.

Clean was painted on canvas with oil in 2024, 65 X 90 cm. It is one of the artist’s favourite works.
